Fatal Motorcycle Crash

One person died today from the injuries suffered yesterday evening after losing control of his motorcycle on Highway 224 between Eagle Creek and Estacada. A female passenger was seriously injured. Investigators are looking into alcohol as a possible contributing factor.
On February 2, 2005 at approximately 6:28 p.m., a 2004 Yamaha motorcycle operated by PATRICK J. HAMILTON, age 54, from Milwaukie, was westbound on Highway 224 near S.E. Wildcat Mountain Road when the operator lost control and both occupants were ejected off the motorcycle.
HAMILTON was transported by ambulance to Emanual Hospital with serious injuries and reportedly died today. He was wearing a protective helmet.
The passenger was also wearing a protective helmet and was transported by ambulance to the same hospital with serious injuries. She is identified as ZENAJIDA ZADAN, age 58, from West Linn.
Members of the Oregon State Police Portland Area Command are continuing the investigation.
