Personal Injury Lawsuit

A personal injury lawsuit is a legal action filed in a civil court demanding compensation for an injury caused by another party. Generally, negligence is the premise upon which most personal injury lawsuits are brought. However, in some cases, an injury was caused deliberately. A good example of this is the wrongful death lawsuit brought against O.J. Simpson. Even though he was found guilty in criminal court, he was found liable for the wrongful death of his wife, and was made to pay a cash award for damages to her family.
